When our five-year-old daughter was learning to read, I made flash cards for us to practice phonics and recognition. This simple app gave her a way to practice on her own too. Thanks to the Wiktionary folks for the pronunciations. The code is available on GitHub.

Along with the buttons, you can advance to the next word by pressing Enter or Right-Arrow and hear the word with S or space bar.

Thanks to the Ruffle Flash emulator, this bit of nostalgia was able to come back to life.
